Morphological characteristics The adult body length is about 50mm, and the wingspan is 100-120mm. The head and chest is brownish black, with dark stripes, spots and yellow patches on the chest. On the back of the abdomen, there is a blue midline and a black annular band. The sides and sides are yellowish, and the posterior edge of each section is black; the ventral surface is yellow. Chest feet shorter, black, with yellow ring pattern between the sections. The fore wings are long and narrow, brownish-black, and the wing surface is mixed with fine white dots and yellow-brown scales. The velvet sheen is shiny. The horizontal and horizontal lines on the fins are composed of several black wavy lines. There are 1 yellow spots on the lateral veins and the outer edges. The juvenile larvae have a light body color with obvious pale yellow granules on the head and chest; the mature larvae have a body length of 92-110mm; the head is dark green with yellow and black longitudinal stripes on both sides; the chest is small and the body is greenish. The 1st to 8th ventral section has a yellow to taupe twill, the upper edge of the twill is blue, the back has a blue dot, and the chest is brownish green; the valve is black and the outer ring is yellow. The larvae also have a stain type: body color dark brown purplish, black spots on the front chest, many black stripes on the thoracodorsal back and back, grey twill on both sides of the abdomen 1-8 knots, grayish yellow scatter on the back . The dragonfly is 55-60mm long, reddish-brown, with a pair of rough carving patterns on the back of the chest, and a transverse groove pattern on the abdomen with 5-7 throttles. Life habits The worm was born in Henan, Hubei, and other places. It has 2 generations in Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Guangxi, and 3 generations in the south of Guangdong. It is wintered in the earthen chambers 6–10 cm deep under the soil. Adults in the first generation of Hubei Province emerged in early June and spawned in mid- and late June. The larvae intensified during the middle and late July, and the mature larvae in the early August and early September were overwintering. In the second generation area, the first generation larvae appeared in the middle and late July, and the second generation larvae appeared in September. Three generations of districts occurred in early July. Young larvae feed at night and live in the back of the leaves during the day; older larvae eat day and night and often eat leaves. Adults grow into nights, have phototaxis, and after being frightened, friction between the abdominal parts can be heard. The larvae have the habit of transforming plants with the increase of the age. Eggs spawn in the foliage or back of the host plant.
