South Korea has developed lactic acid bacteria-producing substances that inhibit poisoned strains

It is reported that the research group of Dr. Park Yu-yu of the Korea Food Development Research Institute has developed a technology that uses lactic acid bacteria to remove food-poisoning bacteria from substances produced during the metabolic process. This technology is to inject lactic acid bacteria into the sap of 7 kinds of plants such as apple, and succeed in extracting and producing antibacterial substances in the metabolic process of the lactic acid bacteria. When this liquid substance, which is called 'NL2000', is sprinkled on food such as sashimi, it can reduce the number of bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes, which is more than 90%, or inhibit the growth of the strain. The research group plans to apply for patents on this technology at home and abroad.
