Key points for summer management of biogas digesters

In summer, the temperature will rise to the highest peak of the year. How to make the digester safely through the summer? The following points should be made:

First, ground feeding, ground discharge: high summer temperatures, decomposition of raw materials for biogas fermentation is fast, the consumption of raw materials is also fast. In order to ensure that the biogas bacteria have sufficient “food” to ensure that the gas production is normal and long-lasting, it is necessary to constantly supplement fresh raw materials so as to ensure ground feeding and ground discharge. The newly built biogas digesters will be added with new materials 20-30 days after the normal gas production. The normal operation of the biogas digester can maintain daily intake and discharge, and it can also be fed and discharged once every 5 to 10 days. When the digester feeds, it should be discharged first, and then fed, so as to achieve a certain amount, how much to enter, so as to maintain the volume of the gas box.

Second, ground mixing: regular stirring of fermentation raw materials can make the digesting raw materials and biogas bacteria in the digester uniform, expand the contact area of biogas bacteria, increase the gas production rate; can break the upper crust, make the biogas under the scum rise to the air chamber The temperature in the digester can be equalized to increase the liquid temperature in the whole tank. There are two methods of stirring: one is to use a long-handle appliance to extend from the feed pipe of the biogas digester into the fermentation room, and pull it back and forth several times; secondly, put several barrels of biogas slurry from the discharge chamber, and pour it into the feed inlet. The pool of liquid flow.

3. Diligently add water: In summer, the temperature is high, the water evaporates quickly, and the consumption is large. According to the specific conditions, water is often added to the digester in an appropriate amount to keep the fermentation concentration at about 6%.

Fourth, check:

1, check the pH: Biogas bacteria are suitable for growth in neutral or slightly alkaline conditions, so the pH of the feed solution should be maintained between 6.8-7.5. If the material acidification or alkalinization occurs, it must be adjusted in time. The phenomenon of acidification of the feed liquid is more common. The method of adjustment is to remove part of the fermentation broth and re-add the equal amount of inoculum or the fermentation broth in the old biogas digester. It is also possible to add a suitable amount of lime clarified liquid and mix it evenly with the fermentation broth in the tank. . The method for adjusting the alkalization of the feed liquid is to remove part of the fermentation raw materials, add the same amount of human feces or livestock and poultry manure to the pond, and dilute with fresh water.

2, check the pressure gauge: Due to high summer gas production, we must always observe the pressure gauge. When the pressure in the tank is too large, gas and deflation should be used in time to prevent the large pressure from acting on the biogas tank for a long time, causing damage to the tank.

3, check the gas pipeline: If the gas pipeline, the switch joints have black phenomenon, it means there is a gas leak, the pipeline should be maintained. In the rainy season, water pipes buried in the ground often contain water. A water bottle can be installed at an appropriate position in the air pipe to prevent water from plugging the pipe.

5. Be careful not to use the biogas when entering or leaving the material: When using biogas, do not enter or exit the material, especially if you cannot quickly enter or leave the material, so as to avoid backfire explosion due to negative pressure in the biogas digester.

Six, pay attention to safe fermentation: biogas bacteria will be toxic when exposed to harmful substances, so a variety of highly toxic pesticides, especially organic fungicides, antibiotics, insect repellents, etc. can not enter the pool. In addition, washing water, shampoo, etc. cannot enter the pool. Therefore, farmers should pay special attention when they change or add materials. Biogas digesters connected to toilets should avoid the use of chemical pesticides in the summer.

7. Take care to avoid large amounts of rainwater entering the pool: When entering and exiting the material outlet, it is necessary to take measures to prevent rainwater from flowing into the digester pool in case of rain, in order to prevent the pressure in the pool from suddenly increasing and damaging the pool. There must be a drainage ditch around the digester to prevent rainwater from pouring into the tank, affecting the concentration of the tank or the diffused solution in the dome to reduce the volume of the gas box.
