Agaricus bisporus winter and spring management

1. Winter management. In winter, the temperature is low, and less than 5°C produces little mushrooms. At this time, if the mushroom room is left untreated, after a winter, the soil layer is too dry and the mycelium shrinks to dryness, affecting both the growth of the mycelium and the mushrooming. Therefore, it is necessary to provide appropriate moisture and necessary ventilation to cultivate robust mycelium and create favorable conditions for spring fruiting. 2. Moisture management. In winter, the temperature is low and the climate is dry. Water must be sprayed on the bed to keep the soil at a moisture level for the growth of mycelium. Spraying water can be combined with some of the micro-fertilizer, to prevent the surface of the water spray to wet, to avoid freezing at low temperatures, frostbite mycelium. 3. Ventilation management. To keep the indoor air fresh, ventilation is usually 1-2 hours a day at noon. When the temperature is low, ventilation is suspended and the room temperature is preferably kept between 3-4°C. 4. Loose soil and old roots. For the better growth of mycelium, if the soil layer is compacted, it can be stopped for 3 to 4 days in January to increase the ventilation, so that the water in the bed of the bacteria bed can be dried, and the material can be used to improve the ventilation of the bed. Under the circumstances, the old mycorrhizal and dead mushrooms that have yellowed are cut off, taking care not to damage the mycelia, and then paving the soil. For the bacterial bed with poor mycelial growth, the cover can be set aside and a layer of fermented culture material can be sprinkled on the bed, and then the original soil can be leveled and the water can be made up. 5. Spring management. In the spring, the climate changes greatly, and the temperature fluctuates. We must especially strengthen the management work so as to avoid the occurrence of hyphae, dead mushrooms and insect pests. 6. Moisture management. The spring water spray adopts the method of light spraying and spraying, without heavy water, avoiding death or even stopping mushrooming. From March to April, the temperature is not too high, the mycelium begins to recover, and the soil moisture content should be adjusted to about 16%. Spray water once a day, 0.5 kilograms per square meter, replenish water for 3-4 days. When temperatures are high, use water sprays in the morning and evening. When the relative humidity of air is lower than 80% from April to May, it is necessary to spray the air frequently, and it is advisable to increase the relative humidity of the air to between 85% and 95%. 7. Ventilation management. When the temperature is low, it should be ventilated at noon. If the weather is warm and sunny, the temperature is about 18°C, and all ventilation openings can be opened for 1 to 2 hours. Reduce ventilation at low temperatures, pay attention to mushroom house insulation. When the temperature is above 23 °C, the window is opened in the morning to cool and ventilate, so that the soil surface is a bit dry to prevent the hyphae from being prolonged, the bed surface stops spraying, and the air no longer sprays. When the temperature is lower than 22°C, it can be sprayed and cooled to fight for another mushroom. Pest prevention. The temperature is high and insects are heavy. The vents should be nailed to screens in April to prevent pests from flying in. If indoor insect pests fly, spraying hydrogen bromide into the air, you can also hang curtains of dichlorvos in the doorway. China Agricultural Network Editor
