Cotton is a rot

Cotton may have cotton anthracnose. Symptoms: Cottonseeds can be damaged after germination and rot in the soil. The victims are light, but also can be unearthed. The base of the seedlings produces purple-red stripes. Later, they expand into spindle-shaped lesions. They are slightly sunken, and when they are severe, they break the water longitudinally and cause the seedlings to die. The masses call it rotten. The lesions on the cotyledons are mostly on the sides of the leaves, semicircular, rounded in the leaves, gray-brown and reddish-brown on the outside. The onset of lesions on the bell was small, reddish purple, and later it became darker and darker. When it was wet and damp, reddish-brown sticky substances were produced on the lesions, which were the spores of the germs and were called conidia. Diseased bells often rot or form a staccato valve. Leaves, stems and flowers are occasionally infected. Onset of disease: The pathogens survive in the stems, leaves, and rotten bells that remain in the seeds and cotton fields. After sowing, they invade the seedlings, and later produce conidia, and then spread the infection. Late cotton boll victim, germs can invade the interior of the seed. After sowing, the cold and rainy seedlings became very sick; before the flower collection, it was rainy and the bell disease increased. Control methods: (1) Strengthen technical measures for agricultural control, improve the quality of sowing, and level land before sowing. It is required to sow at the right time, and the depth of the next seeding is 3.5 to 5 centimeters, so as to avoid being too deep and shallow. Appropriate early seedlings, timely pest control, diligent cultivator, deep cultivator, combined with application of fertilizer, reduce soil moisture, increase soil temperature, and cultivate strong seedlings. (2) Select cottonseed, sowing seeds for more than half a month before sowing. The northern area of cotton is soaked for 30 minutes with 55-60°C warm soup (three open and one cool), soaked for 2 or 3 times, and then soaked at room temperature until the water is sucked out. (3) Pharmaceutical treatment cotton seed. 0.5% seed weight of quintozene, indica vine, and seed-soaking seed + Fumei double seed dressing also treat blight and red rot or use pentachloronitrobenzene + carbendazim, pentachloronitrobenzene +Fumei Double (or anthraquinone Fumei) seed dressing, can also cure blight and red rot.
