The Indian Ocean and Pacific coast are widely distributed. A common type of oyster in the intertidal zone of China. Zhoushan islands are found along the coast. The shells are fixed on rock and reefs, with the most in the mid-tidal zone. It is mainly cultured shellfish in coastal areas of Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong.
Introduction:
The body is variable and mostly triangular. The general shell is about 5 cm long. The shell surface has a concentric annular scale layer with no significant radiation ribs. The surface color of the shell is changeable, more pale yellow, mixed with purple brown or black stripes. The inside of the shell is white.
