Artificial cultivation and fertilization of banana

Soil fertilization is a method of applying fertilizer to the root distribution layer so that the root group can be absorbed into the fertilizer in time.

1 fertilization method

Soil fertilization uses acupoint application and application due to differences in soil structure, fertilizer type, growth period, and climatic conditions. About 10 days after planting, when the first new leaves are carried out, two holes of about 20 cm deep are dug about 30-40 cm from the sides of the seedlings. The size of the holes depends on the amount of fertilizer.

The hole is applied when the root system grows slowly in winter and spring, and the fertilized fertilizer is applied and then returned to the soil. Later, depending on the growth of the plant, the fertilization concentration can be gradually increased with the normal growth of the seedlings. Fertilize 5-7 times a year, the reference fertilization amount per plant for each year, urea, superphosphate, potassium chloride, 1-1.2 kg, compound fertilizer 0.5--0.7 kg.

2 fertilization principle

Fast-growing bananas require a large amount of fertilizer and are very sensitive to fertilizers. If the fertilizer supply is insufficient during the whole growth process, the plants grow slowly. Although sufficient fertilizer is supplied in the later stage, the yield is difficult to increase. However, if the fertilizer is excessively concentrated in the early stage and the later stage is insufficient, the ear is poorly developed, and high-quality and high-yield cannot be obtained.

The principle of fertilization in the banana plantation:

(1) Apply heavy fertilizer to the vegetative growth period of bananas, and apply 70% of the total annual fertilizer from the time of planting to the differentiation of flower buds, leaving 30% to the flowering stage;

(2) In the early stage of planting of banana seedlings, the seedlings are young, the root system is underdeveloped, and the amount of fertilizer is not suitable. It is recommended to use a small number of times and gradually increase the principle;

(3) Special attention should be paid to the application rate of potassium fertilizer and the fertilization period. Under normal conditions, early application and multi-application of potassium fertilizer are beneficial to the growth and development of plants and improve cold resistance;

(4) a combination of quick-acting fertilizer and delayed-effect fertilizer;

(5) Add organic fertilizer to improve soil structure.

Greenhouse Hydroponic System

Hydroponics is a subset of hydroculture, the method of growing plants without soil, using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent. Terrestrial plants may be grown with only their roots exposed to the mineral solution, or the roots may be supported by an inert medium, such as perlite or gravel. The nutrients in hydroponics can come from an array of different sources; these can include but are not limited to waste from fish waste, duck manure, or normal nutrients.
