Laying chickens need timely feeding

For laying hens, it is not only necessary to feed feeds rich in nutrients but also to feed water on a timely basis. Especially when the egg production rate increases, the water requirement also increases, and timely feeding of water is even more important. Because egg-laying hens have a prosperous period, the metabolism is strong, and water is needed to form eggs, in addition to increasing water intake. Therefore, when laying hens enter the peak of egg production, they must be fed more water. Otherwise, it will directly affect the chicken's egg production and health. There are three main time periods for laying hens that need water the most, which is roughly 8 o'clock in the morning, 12 o'clock noon, and 6 o'clock in the evening. This is because chickens need to drink water, most of them are in the period of sunlight and lighting. Under normal circumstances, around 8 o'clock in the morning, chickens begin to receive daylight, and the body needs to replenish moisture; at around 12 o’clock noon, it is the time for most chickens to lay eggs, which consumes more water in the body and often feel thirsty to drink. Water; At about 6 pm, chickens are ready to feed or rest in the nest. They need to feed enough water to prepare for metabolism at night. Therefore, the laying hens must be fed water at these three times. If you do not drink enough water in these three periods, you will not only affect the chicken's egg production, but also affect the health of the layer. In addition to these three times, we must pay attention to the situation of laying hens at ordinary times. If it is found that laying hens are restless and panting, etc., it is likely to be caused by water shortage. Therefore, it is necessary to give the chickens drinking water in time. Throughout the year, although laying hens need to drink water at the right time, the demand for water varies from season to season. In general, the higher the temperature, the more water is needed. According to expert studies, the average daily water requirement of each adult chicken is about 110 ml in winter, about 280 ml in summer, and about 200 ml in spring and autumn. In summer, the weather is hot and the temperature is high. In order to cool off and prevent heatstroke, it is best to feed the chickens with cool well water. In spring and autumn, normal temperature water can be fed. In winter, the weather is cold and the temperature is low. The chickens should be given warm water to reduce the chicken's temperature. Heat energy consumption enhances the ability to resist cold, so as to benefit egg laying and health.
