On August 10, new clinical trial results revealed that Shentong significantly improves the symptoms of men suffering from chronic prostatitis (type III). Prostatitis syndrome is a condition marked by pelvic pain and urinary discomfort. The National Institutes of Health categorizes several types of prostatitis, with type III (CP/CPPS) being the most common. Due to its complex causes, conducting evidence-based research on CP/CPPS has been challenging. Researchers from Giessen University in Germany, led by Wagenlehner et al., conducted a large-scale, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase III study involving 139 male patients with CP/CPPS. The trial lasted 12 weeks, with seven patients receiving Shentong treatment and 69 in the placebo group. The effectiveness of Shentong was measured through assessments of pain levels, quality of life, and NIH-CPSI scores. Results showed that patients treated with Shentong experienced significant improvements in pain and overall well-being compared to those in the placebo group. Additionally, the treatment had a low rate of adverse effects. This promising development offers hope for millions of men affected by this often frustrating condition. Meditech Medical Network
