The selection and enrichment technology of collophanite has reached the international advanced level, the industrialization degree of ore beneficiation of medium-low grade phosphate ore has been greatly improved, and the scale of iodine from phosphate rock has also been realized; the low temperature conversion of ammonium phosphate and potassium chloride by slurry method Sulfur-based compound fertilizers and phosphogypsum-produced sulfuric acid co-production cements have advanced technologies in the world; a variety of slow-release fertilizers and controlled-release fertilizers are gradually being applied to large-scale crops; and the promotion of various building materials products made of phosphogypsum is progressing rapidly. By the end of 2009, the annual comprehensive treatment capacity of phosphogypsum in China has accounted for 20% of the annual added amount of gypsum.

In the compound fertilizer industry, high- tower granulation technology, which represents the highest level of global granulation technology, has replaced drums and shotcrete granulation, reducing energy consumption and improving product quality. In addition, the potassium bromide absorption refrigeration unit has been widely used in the nitrogen fertilizer and chlor-alkali fields, and the pressure swing adsorption technology is widely promoted in the production of nitrogen fertilizer.

Chlorine-alkali perfluorinated membrane localization wins China's chlor-alkali industry has developed rapidly during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, with the production of caustic soda and polyvinyl chloride ranking first in the world. The industry focused on major key technology organizations to tackle key problems and formed a number of core patented technologies. And technological innovation has strongly promoted the development of the chlor-alkali industry.

Ion membrane is the core material of the electrolysis device of the chlor-alkali industry's core equipment. China's existing chlor-alkali industrial equipment scale exceeds 35 million tons, and is the world's largest chlor-alkali country. However, the ion membrane required for installation is all dependent on imports before the industrialization of perfluorinated membranes. China has organized many years of scientific research on perfluorinated membrane engineering technology. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, the Perfluorinated Membrane Engineering Technology Research Project broke through a series of key technologies for membrane materials. For 10,000 tons of chlor-alkali devices, China has become the third country in the world to independently produce perfluorinated membranes.

The dry acetylene technology developed by the chlor-alkali industry has effectively solved the calcium carbide slurry contamination and land occupation problems, and realized the continuous production of acetylene. The low mercury catalyst technology is a major breakthrough in pollution reduction in the chlor-alkali industry. This technology has reduced the mercury chloride content of the catalyst from 10% to 6%, and the mercury consumption and emissions have also dropped significantly. By the first half of 2010, the number of low-mercury catalyst purchases has doubled over the entire year of 2009, and the number of manufacturers used has also increased by 25, and the proportion of companies using low-mercury catalysts is gradually expanding.

In addition, the application of a series of innovative technologies such as the recovery of hydrochloric acid synthesis furnace tail gas and the secondary use of chlorine resources has significantly reduced the energy consumption and pollutant emissions of the chlor-alkali industry, and promoted the sustainable development of the industry.
