Three green methods for feeding green pig feed

In the hot and rainy summer, farmers harvested fresh green feed for their pigs. However, it was a challenge to feed them efficiently due to spoilage and poor preservation. One effective solution is to store and ferment green grass and other plant-based feeds. This process not only enhances the flavor and nutritional value of the feed but also helps preserve its nutrients for a longer period. Additionally, fermentation can kill parasite eggs, reducing the risk of infections in pigs. The methods are simple, cost-effective, and suitable for small-scale farming. **Lettuce and Water Fermentation** Collect weeds, wild Vegetables, leaves, and vegetable scraps. Wash them thoroughly, chop them into small pieces, and layer them tightly in a container. Fill the container up to 80% with the chopped material, cover it with straw, and press it down with stones. After a few days, the feed will start to sink. Then, fill the container with water to keep the feed submerged, which creates an anaerobic environment. Let it sit for one more day, and the fermented feed will develop a pleasant aroma, ready for use. **Raw and Cooked Mixed Fermentation** After collecting the green feed, chop it into small pieces. Take one-third of the material and cook it in a pot to hydrate it. Place the remaining two-thirds into a fermentation tank, layering them carefully and pressing them down with stones. Wait until the feed sinks, then fill the tank with water. After three to four days, the fermented feed is ready to be used. **Bran Mixed Fermentation** Clean and prepare the green feed, then mix it with bran in a ratio of 10:1. Start by placing a 13–17 cm thick layer of green feed in the tank, followed by a 3–7 cm layer of bran. Repeat this layering process, compacting each layer as you go. Once the tank is filled to about 80%, cover the top with a stone and add enough water to submerge the feed by 7–10 cm. Alternatively, mix the green feed and bran together and pack them in layers for better fermentation. Since bran contains natural sugars, it speeds up the fermentation process. After five or six days, the feed is ready for pigs. It’s best to combine different types of green feed to ensure a balanced diet, allowing nutrients to complement each other for better results. When packing the feed, make sure it's well compressed and free of air pockets. The water level should not exceed 3–7 cm above the top layer to maintain an oxygen-free environment. In extremely hot weather, move the container to a cooler spot to avoid over-acidification. If the feed becomes too sour, rinse it with water to reduce the acidity. However, never feed fermented feed to pregnant pigs, as it may cause miscarriages.

Freeze-dried Coffee

UTZ Freeze dried coffee: also known as freeze-dried coffee, it is an Instant Coffee made by freezing liquid products and removing ice through sublimation.
The freeze-dried coffee chips retain the original flavor of coffee well. Due to its loose and porous internal structure and fast dissolution rate, it is a "instant coffee" that is convenient to measure and can easily control the concentration of the beverage.

Low temperature extraction, balanced taste, soft and sweet coffee, good taste retention, rich layers, slightly fruit acid.
