Feed processing technology design

Raw material cleaning is a very important part of the feed processing process. Due to imperfect cleaning procedures, such phenomena as clogging of chutes, poor material flow, idling of conveying machinery, crusher screens, and pelletizer die damage or breakdown often occur. To avoid these phenomena, the following points should be noted in the design of the cleaning process.

1 Reasonable design and use of sifter

The grid screen is generally set at the receiving port and is the first step in the cleaning process. Because its composition is too simple, it is often the most easily overlooked. The grid screen design should first consider the use of a reasonable grid gap. The size of the grate gap is generally determined by the geometry of the material. For corn, powdered by-products and rice, the sieve gap should be within 3 cm, and for oily fish, the sieve gap should be between 3-5 cm. At the same time, the screen gap should be fixed during use, and should be promptly removed by screening. In this way, the purpose of preliminary screening can be effectively achieved.

2 Reasonably arrange the horizontal conveying machinery in the process

Due to its low cost, high delivery efficiency, and simple structure, horizontal conveyors are widely used in feed processing. However, due to improper use, the failure rate is correspondingly higher. It is more common that the material after the initial cleaning of the grid screen is directly conveyed to the hoist by auger or scraper. Due to the material passing through the screening process, many shorter hemp ropes, smaller sacks, and other impurities can easily wrap around or jam the horizontal conveying machinery, resulting in a decrease in the efficiency of the use of these devices, and in severe cases the burning of the motor. Certain economic losses. Therefore, in the process design, horizontal conveyors should be avoided before they are used in the initial cleaning and magnetic separation equipment. The material of the lower hopper is preferably sent directly to the hoist through a chute. This minimizes the impact on conveyor equipment due to the large amount of miscellaneous equipment.

3 Reasonable selection of process parameters

The primary cleaning device is the main equipment for cleaning. It is used to remove hemp ropes, sacks, stones, mud blocks and other debris. The selection of process parameters has a direct impact on the cleaning effect. In the design and selection of the primary cleaning screen, attention should be paid to the following issues:

3.1 The appropriate mesh diameter should be selected according to the physical properties and geometric dimensions of the screening material.
3.2 Adjustable dust suction should be selected. This condition can be achieved by setting the valve above the air inlet.
3.3 Choose ample production capacity. In general, the processing capacity of the screen in the design parameters should be about 30% higher than that of the conveying equipment in the previous process.
In the design, pay attention to the reasonable selection of the above parameters, which can effectively improve the ergonomics of the screen.

4 Reasonable selection of magnetic separator

The impurities such as nails, bolts, nuts, and small iron blocks mixed in feed ingredients are the most harmful to the high-speed grinders and granulators. If it is light, the bottom of the screen will be broken down, and when it is heavy, the die and the motor will be damaged. Reasonable location settings are very important.

There are two types of magnetic separation equipment that are often used in design. One is a permanent magnet cylinder and the other is a permanent magnet roller. The former is small in size, has a small footprint, and has no power consumption. The demagnetization effect is also ideal. However, it is only suitable for powders and light materials with small geometrical dimensions. In addition, the adsorbed metal foreign bodies need to be periodically removed manually. Compared with the latter, the latter has a high cost and a relatively large volume, but it is also applicable to materials such as bread cakes with large geometrical size and cakes that are suitable for agglomeration. Although there is power consumption, it can automatically remove adsorbed metal foreign objects in time. It is more suitable to set the high position of the process. However, in the design of smaller feed mills, the availability of affordable permanent magnets is more commonly used because of constraints such as capital and plant area.

The position of the magnetic separator in the process is arranged as:
4.1 The magnetic separator is placed behind the primary cleaning screen and in front of the grinder so that metal impurities in the raw material can be effectively removed to avoid damage to the grinder.
4.2 Place a magnetic separator on the granulation silo. In this way, it is possible to effectively prevent metal impurities contained in the raw material of the auxiliary materials from entering the granulator and causing damage to the stamper.
4.3 Place a magnetic separator on the packing scale. This method is not commonly used in the design of process flow, but it is necessary to further improve and ensure the quality of finished feed for the removal of metal foreign materials in raw materials that have not been cleaned up.

Mackerel are canned in many different ways. At the cannery, the fish are washed, their heads are removed, and the fish are cooked, either by deep-frying or by steam-cooking, after which they are dried. Mackerels are then packed in either brine, tomato sauce, sunflower oil and vegetable oil.
